Herbert Lippert
Born in Linz and starting out as a soloist with the Vienna Boys‘ Choir, his career as one of the leading Mozart tenors has taken him to the world’s most important opera houses.
With over 300 recordings and appearances with renowned conductors such as Riccardo Muti, Franz Welser-Möst, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Fabio Luisi, and Christian Thielemann, he has earned an outstanding international reputation. Herbert Lippert also enjoys high regard as a painter: His works, which combine post-figurative impressionism with an impressive harmony of figuration and abstraction, inspire a wide audience. Major exhibitions, such as the one at the Vienna State Opera, emphasise his success.
